LCCL Season 1 Finals

The LCCL Season 1 is now officially complete. And what a beautiful day for a Cornhole finals event! The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and the competitive nerves were palpable. The upper/lower draw format was a success and made for more parity than I have seen at our local events. Everyone felt like they had a chance to go deep into the tournament but unfortunately there can only be one Champion. So without further ado, here are the results:

Champions:       Josh Wrobel & Matt Purdy

Runners-Up:     Chris Yee & Jeff Carmack

3rd Place:          Jeremy Warner & Jeff Talbert

4th Place:          Clay Christensen & Eric Trimble

In true casual LCCL style, Season 2 will start (and end) whenever it does. As always, keep an eye out for updates here, via email blast (send me your email via this site to be included) or by word-of-mouth. We are always looking for new locations to host events. If you know anyone with a big yard and/or a sports court that may be willing to host, please let me know.

Thanks to the Scherberts for graciously hosting again. The championship court keeps adding to its legacy. Who knows, maybe some SquadronTV coverage will be in our future.  :-)

I am still thinking through legacy trophy ideas for the league, stay tuned.

8th Annual 2024 PCY Dads Tournament

The 8th Annual PCY Dads Cornhole Tournament was a great success! It couldn't have been a more beautiful Spring day for a day of Cornhole, music, BBQ, and raffle excitement. Splitting the top teams had a clear impact on improved parity in the run up to the trophy. But in the end, experience won out as two former winners went 1 & 2 with their new teammates. Net proceeds from the event will be donated to the PCY PTA. 9th Annual PCY Dads Tournament - Results

The 9th Annual PCY Dads Cornhole Tournament was a great success! The rain and wet bags couldn't put a damper on the atmosphere amongst the guys. Jerry cooked up some great barbecue and new (younger) players gave a feel that maybe the next generation is ready to take over. But judging by the results, the OGs aren't ready to give up the mantle just yet... The level of competition is getting fiercer with each event. And we have a new name to add to the trophy (Nick) with a few repeat performers: Champions:       Nick Mastroianni & Josh Wrobel Runners-Up:     John Clark & Matt Purdy The trophy will be updated and put back in The Proper until next year's event.
